Working with HNordic

HNordic is a delivery partner — it does not displace the energy consultant, whose strategic role is unchanged. Most consultants do not supply hardware; HNordic does.

HNordic is a delivery partner, not a strategic adviser. The energy consultant sets the compliance strategy and prioritises assets; HNordic installs and operates the integrated system on the assets the consultant selects.

Portfolio property investors with existing energy consultant relationships often assume that engaging HNordic means displacing a trusted adviser. The concern is understandable — energy consultants often manage lender relationships and EPC submissions as well as strategy, and an incoming delivery partner that encroaches on their role creates friction.

HNordic does not encroach. The division is clear.

What HNordic is not

HNordic is not a strategic energy adviser. It does not assess which compliance pathway is right for a portfolio, advise on which assets to prioritise, produce the MEES compliance strategy, or manage lender relationships on the investor's behalf. These are functions the energy consultant performs.

HNordic also does not produce EPCs, register exemptions, or provide ESOS audit services. Where these outputs are needed, the consultant or their specialist subcontractors produce them.

What HNordic is

HNordic is the delivery partner for the physical energy infrastructure — the company that designs, installs, operates, and maintains the battery storage, wind generation, solar, EV charging, and AI energy management system across the properties the consultant has identified as candidates for upgrade.

Most energy consultants advise on which hardware to install and which vendor to use; they do not supply the hardware themselves. They recommend; they do not deliver. HNordic fills the delivery gap — standardised across all assets, with one monitoring platform, one commissioning methodology, and one operating commitment for the full term.

Why this benefits the consultant's client relationship

A consultant who can point their client to a delivery partner with a specific and auditable track record — same system, same output, same monitoring platform across all assets — is better placed to serve a portfolio investor than one who must coordinate multiple single-technology vendors across a portfolio.

The coordination problem is real. A portfolio that uses one solar installer, a separate battery supplier, a third contractor for EV charging, and a fourth for monitoring has four separate maintenance relationships, four separate operational contacts, and four separate data formats. When a lender asks for consolidated energy performance data at refinancing, the consultant must aggregate it from four sources.

HNordic produces one consolidated dataset, through one platform, under one operating agreement. That makes the consultant's job simpler, not more complex.

The practical division of responsibility

Consultant's role (unchanged):

HNordic's role:

The two roles do not overlap. Handing off an asset to HNordic for delivery does not require the consultant to relinquish any part of their strategic role.
